Piercing

Can I Get a Piercing If I’m Under 18?

Yes! You can get a piercing if you are under 18, as long as a parent or guardian completes your consent form and is present on the day of your appointment.

How Young Can You Pierce Ears?

We offer ear piercings for babies as young as 6 months old. However, parents must be willing to assist with holding their child still during the procedure.

Can I Bring My Own Jewelry for Piercing?

No. We only pierce with jewelry provided by our trusted distributor to ensure safety and quality. We do not switch jewelry unless it is purchased from our studio.

Jewelry Options:

  • We carry implant-grade titanium piercing jewelry.
  • Solid gold jewelry is available by custom order and must be paid for in advance.

How Long Do Piercings Take to Heal?

Healing times vary based on the type of piercing and individual factors. Below are general healing timelines:

Lobe Piercings:

  • Healing Time: ~3 months
  • Jewelry Change: Around 6-8 weeks, if there is no redness, tenderness, crusting, or scabbing.

Nostril Piercing:

  • Healing Time: ~4 months
  • Jewelry Change: After 4 months
  • Hoops: No earlier than 6 months, as changing too soon can cause the piercing to heal at a curved angle, leading to long-term discomfort.

All Other Piercings (Helix, Cartilage, Tragus, Daith, Rook, Conch, Forward Helix, etc.)

  • Healing Time: 6 months to 1 year
  • Jewelry Change: No earlier than 3 months

Important Notes:

  • Healing times are approximate and vary from person to person.
  • Always monitor for signs of proper healing before changing jewelry.

Piercing Prices:

  • Single Lobe: $60
  • Double Lobe: $100

Cleaning Your Piercing

  • Use sterile saline wound wash or sea salt spray twice a day for one week, then once a day until fully healed.

  • Do NOT use contact lens solution or other non-sterile solutions.

Handling Your Piercing

  • Avoid twisting, spinning, or moving your new piercing.
  • Always wash your hands before touching your piercing.

Jewelry Changes & Healing Tips

  • Lobe & Nostril Piercings: Change to a straight post after 6-8 weeks only if redness and tenderness are gone.
  • Hoops: No hoops before 6 months (except for daith or rook piercings, which are done with hoops).
  • Other Ear Piercings: Healing takes 6 months to 1 year. Avoid changing jewelry too soon.
  • For comfortable healing, sleep on a travel pillow or piercing pillow to prevent pressure on the new piercing.

What’s Normal & When to See a Doctor

  • Normal: Swelling, redness, tenderness, and slight crusting.
  • Seek Medical Advice If: You experience foul-smelling drainage, abnormal swelling, or discoloration.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a safe healing process and enjoy your new piercing with confidence!
